Asphalt is a durable, flexible material. This is a preferred material for colder climates since it can become less effective in warmer climates. Any cracks that appear in the asphalt can be easily fixed. Asphalt is generally less expensive to install than concrete, but asphalt must be sealed regularly. However, cracks in asphalt are easier to repair than cracks in concrete.
